Earlier this week, 90's R&B group TLC found themselves in hot water when a Twitter fan asked where his money he donated to their Kickstarter for a new project went.. The group raised almost half a million dollars and have yet to show any sign of a new album.
Well... T-Boz must not have been thinking when she responded to the curious fan with, "Call Kickstarter and tell them [to] give it bk."
A frenzy ensued and the hashtag "TLCisGoingToJailParty followed -- which was more than likely created by Black Twitter. They were dragged to filth (as expected) so badly they had to gather and throw the public an emergency press release! Apparently they've been too busy with other projects to worry about that album they promised... Which in code means, living lavishly off y'alls coins because they exceeded their goal so once they're done living off y'alls expense, they'll throw you a last minute, $50,000 project. I'm just being honest. Y'all saw their biopic right? Ok then.. You should know TLC doesn't know how to handle their money!
Anyway. Here's their press statement:
After seeing and greeting so many of you on our tour this summer, we took a short break and now we are in the studio recording our new album with Ron Fair, coming out in 2016. The music is coming out great and it’s only with your support of TLC on Kickstarter that this is possible. We thank you and promise that we will continue rolling out all the Kickstarter prizes except the album by mid-October. We are moving the album back to 2016, so that we will have more time to finish the record the TLC way. Thanks as always for your love and support and we can’t wait to deliver a new record and tour next year.
